Today is my mother's 5th year deathiversary. It also marks a year since I launched my new website, this gently distributed Museletter and the ebook, "An Open Letter to Western Women".

I'm burnt out. There's nothing like a vacation to show me how spent I am. How do I know? Because there I was, in a beautiful, tropical place but I couldn't relax…

As we come to the final weeks of December, I like to look back and do a little year-in-review. It actually surprised me to see how much I have lived through in the past twelve months.

My sweet, loving fur nephew, Henry, died suddenly this weekend. He was a tender, special soul who brought us great joy. His death is a huge and sad loss for our family. 

I took most of the summer off. I hadn't planned on it, but if I think about it, it just made sense. My inclination to play is always stronger in the summers AND I was way tired. The caregiving of the previous months in Toronto really took their toll on me.
