A Final Invitation of the Year

Happy Holiday Season Reader,

As we come to the final weeks of December, I like to look back and do a little year-in-review. It actually surprised me to see how much I have lived through in the past twelve months. I believe it's important to acknowledge our wins and honour the losses. As such, here's a brief inventory of my 2022:

  • I launched my ebook and website while caregiving my dad

  • I finally birthed my (sometimes) 'Monthly Museletter'

  • I helped move dad into assisted living and then long-term care

  • I returned to my life in Vancouver after being away for seven months

  • I completed my bucket list train ride across Canada

  • I was a guest on my first podcast and have been invited to another

  • I expanded my site to include an e-store

  • I created THE LOUNGE, home of 'Happy Hours''Mini Swaddles'

  • I went on a camping road trip up the Sunshine Coast, across to Cortes Island, and down Vancouver Island

  • I lost Henry, my favourite fur nephew

  • I turned 50 and had THREE celebrations

  • I finally rebooked my pre-Covid trip to Mexico

  • I went on four spa getaways

  • I completed several coaching courses

When I look at the above list, and reflect on the way I infused self-care throughout it all, I feel very accomplished, nourished and proud. Should you take account of your past year, I hope you also pat yourselves on the back and resolve to self-nurture even more moving forward.

As for the remainder of this month - the busiest time of year - I invite you to be very gentle with yourselves. It's so easy for us to lose our footing and get overwhelmed during the holidays. I, personally, have been attending sound baths, and sleeping more during this season of hibernation leading up to the Winter Solstice.

Before the year closes, I have one last thing to offer you. If you need practice in "The Art of Doing Nothing", could use some time all to yourself and/or want to dedicate a conscious minute to that which always gets pushed onto the back burner, come join me on Thursdays between 11-12pm Pacific. Between now and my trip to Mexico, for the next four weeks, I'm offering a 'Mini Swaddle' series. A gentle 1-hour weekly co-working space AKA "self-care container" to claim what you personally need. With a touch of magic.

As some know, a few of my areas of expertise, in which I can hold space for you, include: caregiving, grief, perimenopause, self-care, accountability and investing. Let me "swaddle" you in loving support over the coming weeks. Attend one session, or join all of them. You can find out more here

And, if your festive plate is way full, then I'll just wish you a blessed holiday season and look forward to seeing you refreshed in the new year.

PS The next Happy Hour is scheduled for Saturday, January 7th, 11:11am Pacific.

PPS If you are new here, welcome. If you enjoy these love notes, be sure to whitelist my email so I don't get trashed. ❤
